At 24 years old, Farid Momodu is building his world one story at a time. A student at Georgia State University and a dedicated creative, Farid has already written his own novel, launched a videography and editing LLC, and begun carving out his place in the world of visual storytelling. With a deep love for fantasy and narrative structure, he’s not just creating content—he’s crafting universes.

A Life Rooted in Story

For Farid, storytelling isn’t a passing interest—it’s a lifelong pursuit. From writing his first novel at 18 to studying narrative across mediums, his work is grounded in a fascination with character, conflict, and transformation.

“Fantasy stories! I love narrative. It doesn’t matter if it’s meant to inspire, if I’m watching the downfall of a character, a redemption, a revenge plot line. I’ve always loved telling stories.”

Whether through film, writing, or editing, Farid is constantly exploring how stories move people—and how he can bring his own visions to life on screen.

Honing his Craft at RE:IMAGINE

Farid joined RE:IMAGINE as an EMERGE Post-Production Apprentice, where he refined the technical foundation behind his storytelling. Through hands-on training and creative development, he sharpened his editing skills and deepened his understanding of the post-production process.

“RE:IMAGINE has helped me particularly by bolstering my technical skills… and presenting me on their platform for potential employers to see.”

More than anything, the experience reinforced a key lesson: mastery requires focus.

“You need to focus on your chosen path and hone it to perfection.”

Building Toward a Creative Future

Today, Farid works as a part-time videographer and editor, using his professional hybrid camera to capture both photo and video content. With growing confidence in Adobe Premiere Pro—and plans to expand into sound design—he’s continuing to evolve his skillset with intention.

Each step forward reflects his commitment to becoming not just a creator, but a well-rounded storyteller with a clear artistic voice.

Words of Discipline and Direction

Farid’s advice to other creatives is grounded in consistency and self-awareness:

“Stay focused and consistent on your path… There’s nothing wrong with being undecided. What is important is what you do when you DO decide.”

He emphasizes the importance of effort and curiosity, reminding others to ask questions, stay engaged, and give their full energy to every project.

To his younger self, his message is even more introspective:

“You need to do more inward reflection. Start evaluating yourself—what are your strengths and what do you need to work on… Life is a journey, so learn to appreciate the walk.”

Looking Ahead

Farid’s vision for the future is bold and clear. In five years, he sees himself working as a professional editor and director, bringing his fantasy stories to life on a larger stage.

“I see myself at HBO.”

With his foundation in storytelling, his growing technical expertise, and his unwavering focus, Farid is steadily building toward that reality—one frame, one story, and one decision at a time.
