EMERGE is RE:IMAGINE’s Workforce Programming, it prepares youth ages 18-24, for emerging careers in the film and creative media industry.

The EMERGE program develops a pipeline of talent for the projected millions of jobs requiring advanced digital skills in the public and private sectors. Trainees will then be able to compete in the ever-changing digital economy, which is transforming Georgia’s employment landscape and changing the trajectory of their lives.
Youth can apply for either:
INCUBATORS – 2 to 3-day in-depth, training sessions with industry leaders. Limited number of free seats, valued at +$750, or TRACKS – 8-week commitment with on-the-job training experience with clients, apprentices earn a $500 stipend and develop a portfolio.
 
Apply for an Incubator: Production Assistant, Cinematographer & Gaffer, Audio Production, Post Production, Live Stream, Caricature/White Board Graphic Recording.
Apply for an Apprenticeship Track: Photography or Social MediaIn 2023, this workforce initiative will be offered throughout the year. Summer 2023 application deadline is Monday, APRIL 24.

EMPLOYER PARTNERS

CALL FOR EMPLOYER PARTNERS – ONGOING: Companies that commit to at least one of the following: on-the-job training, internships, mentorship, or in-kind supportive services to help further apprentices’ careers AND a $2,000 investment. 2023 Partners receive a digital badge to showcase their commitment to working with diverse junior talent, benefits listed at Bronze level, plus special recognition during Dreamfest and in a press release going out May 16, 2023.

Requirements

  • Age 18-24, not a full-time college student or full-time career
  • Interest in a career in media production is a MUST
  • Experience and work samples showing editing, or animation, or set experience
  • Commitment to in-person intensive workshops the month of February and virtual training sessions two days a week March – October 2022
  • Commitment to build your portfolio
  • Professionalism and clear communication 
  • Driven self-starter

  • March to October – Weekly hybrid classes based on Track (Post, Animation, Media Production). Client-based projects and soft skills training. Portfolio development.
