ABOUT

RE:IMAGINE

OUR MISSION

Equipping the next generation of storytellers

We are dedicated to fostering pathways for marginalized youth to access paid opportunities within the film and creative media industry. Our vision is to cultivate a nurturing, inclusive, and equitable environment that empowers emerging talent, ensuring sustained opportunities for generations to come.

RE:IMAGINE was launched in 2014 by Atlanta native Susanna Spiccia. Her vision was to bring together youth from different backgrounds and provide them with an opportunity to learn from each other through the art of storytelling. Over time, the organization’s vision, programs, and impact have expanded to include a commitment to developing the real-world skill sets of those we serve to prepare them for careers in the entertainment and media industries

Since its founding, RE:IMAGINE has reached more than 5,000 youth across the Atlanta community and created more than 100 digital assets including music videos, public service announcements, documentaries, songs, and podcasts. We have served students from more than 45 schools and provided relevant industry training to more than 500 high school audio-visual teachers.

“This is more than a workforce & arts organization, it’s a community of people who want to see you thrive.”

RE:IMAGINE Apprentice

Our Impact

We have established paid internships and paid on-set partnerships with organizations such as Disney, Warner Brothers Discovery, Lionsgate, and NBC Universal, and more.

Internally, we’re living out our mission by hiring apprentices for our own team. Graduates from our programming are working 30 hours a week for social media creation and management, communications, and assisting department directors to produce workshops and community-based events.

Our Employment Social Enterprise provides on-the-job training and paid work to our youth apprentices as we produce original content for clients. This client-based work results in high-quality storytelling and JOBS for our youth. Clients include Microsoft, NBC Universal, GSU, MOCA and United Way.
